Read and Discuss Stories with Your Baby Using Books

Babies ages 0 to 3 months have an easier time focusing on high-contrast objects. During this stage of development, it can be beneficial to show babies books that are black and white with contrasting images, photos, or patterns. High contrast books help stimulate infant vision. Find books at your local bookstore or library. Some good titles for babies with black and white contrast include:
