Explore Through Movement and Play with Your Preschooler Using Stories

Help your preschooler develop language and literacy skills by moving and playing. Try these games and activities related to the following books:

Baby goes to market

From Head to Toe by Eric Carle

Read From Head to Toe by Eric Carle. Go outside and do all the active movements in the book (kick like a donkey, kneel like a camel, etc.)

Press Here by Herve Tullet

Read the book Press Here by Herve Tullet. Make different size circles out of paper (blue, red, and yellow). Give your children assignments (jump three times on the red circle; crouch down on the blue circle; etc.) This game is good for gross motor skills as well as listening skills.
