Maximize Love and Manage Stress with Your Preschooler

Activity:

Role-playing with puppets is a fun and non-threatening way to explore social and emotional scenarios. This can help kids identify, understand, and examine their feelings and how to manage different situations.

You can use your fingers or grab stuffed toys for this as well. Try a nursery rhyme or a storybook you already have or make up a story as you go.

For this classic nursery rhyme This Little Piggy, get five stuffed animals or use your fingers.

“This Little Piggy

This little piggy went to the market,

This little piggy stayed home,

This little piggy had roast beef,

This little piggy had none,

And this little piggy cried ‘wee wee wee’ all the way home.

After the nursery rhyme is done, ask your child questions.

“How do you think the first piggy felt going to the market?”

“Was the last one sad?”

“Do you like roast beef?”
